In the beautiful rolling hills in the heart of Ohio, resides the largest Amish community in the U.S. The town of Charm, Ohio, captured our hearts, and you can see why in these photos which were taken as subtly as possible (which isn't easy with a 30-foot trailer in tow).
With high gas prices and the debate over meeting our energy needs, a drive through Amish country will take you far away. A serene, simple, & unaffected slice of America.

My niece and her husband (Kendall & Ryan) joined us at Alum Creek SP. We searched the park for hiking trails & beaches, and ended the day roasting marshmallows & making S'mores.
