Another long drive today, from arid desert into lush agriculture, always surrounded by distant mountains.

Back to the scenery...lots of crops with cute ranch homes and hunky men moving irrigation pipes. Idaho is the potatoe capital of the U.S., you know!
A short side trip to Shoshone Falls in Twin Falls, ID. The falls are higher than Niagara Falls!
Arrived in Idaho Falls at 6 p.m. with plenty of time to ride 6 miles along the Snake River Parkway bike trail, past a 600-foot wide waterfall (photo below). Stopped to enjoy a live band playing at a restaurant overlooking the river.
