Day 52 & 53
Welcome to
Although this perfect reflection looks very deep, it is only  a few inches deep.
Luray Caverns was a very beautiful place and as usual, the photos do not do it justice. It is hard to see, but there is a rail along the path at the bottom of the picture that goes deeper into the cavern.
Jenny standing next to a pipe organ that was made especially for the stalactites back in 1957. The builder carefully picked each stalactite for its range in tone and the sound was amazing. It played A Mighty Fortress Is Our God while we were standing in total darkness.
This is the Wishing Well and each year they take out the money and donate it to a worthy charitable organization.
The cavern had very delicate formations that dwarfed the rooms.
After touring the Caverns, we were able to see a museum of old cars that was very interesting.
The Shenandoah Mountains. We were a little early to see much color but could tell that at the right time, it would be a great place to be.
While in the Park, we were entertained by bears who were fattening up for hibernation.
