Buffalo Bill Museum

Cody, Wyoming
August 25 to 26, 2008

100 miles and 2-1/2 hours from our last stop

Hello there........cough, cough, cough....

Sound familiar?
that's the greeting in a smoke filled city.  Thought you'd guess that one since that was Sacramento Valley this summer as well.

On the road to Cody, we passed helicopters siphoning water from the roadside river and staging stations for the firefighters.  High winds came up that evening stoking the fires.

Fortunately, our time was spent indoors at the Buffalo Bill Museum!   (hiking activities were nixed)

If you love the Wild West, this is the place for you...
see guns owned by Annie Oakley, Buffalo Bill, even the gang from Bonanza.  live it with daily gunfights at the Irma Hotel.
see the largest collection of guns from the civil war forward--a bit depressing for me but Bob loved it.
