Five days with Bob and the bears!

Yellowstone has it all--wildlife, erupting geysers, steaming fumuroles, rivers winding through beautiful meadows, waterfalls, and great hiking trails.

Bob & Jenny's Cross Country Adventure
Days 4 to 8
Welcome to
August 20-24, 2008
We found a family of coyotes stalking their prey, pouncing, and then tossing the rodents up in the air (just like Zoey puppy at home!)
Animals own all roads in Yellowstone.   They have the right-of-way and you sit until they cross.  See the Bison snarling traffic until they leave the road.
--Patience, okay?!
Bob on the bike trail to Lone Star Geyser--a new favorite bike ride.  The trail follows this river on an old paved road that is closed to traffic.  The Lone Star Geyser erupts every three hours and is the third largest in the area, and it sits alone in a forested meadow.  (see photo at top of this page with me in it)
A Bison near the geysers.  They will stand over steam vents and roll in the sand nearby.  Keeps the insects off, which don't like the sulfur.
